Artist Statement:
My work lives at the intersection of observation and imagination. Whether I’m illustrating a microscopic structure or painting a vibrant scene, I’m driven by a desire to understand the world and communicate that understanding visually.
With a degree in scientific illustration and a deep love for biology and ecology, I approach my subjects with both curiosity and care. I’m drawn to forms that might otherwise be overlooked-veins in a leaf, the texture of coral- and aim to capture their complexity with precision and personality.
My paintings use bold color and dynamic composition to reflect the energy and complexity of the natural world. Rather than depicting nature as static or clinical, I aim to convey its vitality, movement and emotional resonance.
Ultimately, I want my art to serve as a bridge-between art and science, knowledge and emotion, viewer and subject.
